Sit astride all terrain vehicles (ATVs) or what we have more commonly come to know as quad bike have come a long way in the last ten years. From three wheeled bikes that transformed farming to where we are today with many quad bikes having continually variable or hydrostatic transmission, a large number of quad bikes being semi or fully automatic Theses quad bikes are used widely in farming and estates through out the Uk for a verity of tasks from checking sheep to rounding up cows to transporting trees to be planted on a distant moor. Just a few tasks required of today’s quad bike . With all these tasks comes a requirement under the heath and safety at work act 1974 and the provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998 to provide adequate supervision and provision of training for all users whether employed or self employed .At merrick training we offer various courses to cover theses requirements .
